Lust, desire, wine… where do I sign up? With the current restrictions being as they are, you may have a very strong or irresistible impulse to travel. Many of you are adventurous and currently restless. Since we are limited at the present moment, each bottle can offer an opportunity to travel beyond. Taking your palate on a trip can most definitely help fill a void.
 
How fantastic would it be to visit the South of Italy right now? With one sip, you can savor a wine that reflects the different terroirs of the volcano, Vulture, in Basilicata. A small collective of eight young and dynamic producers represent for the area since 2016. They formed a group, Generazione Vulture, to share the diversity of the local red, Aglianico. Together, they are putting the region on the map. Each winery producing a unique expression of this variety. The aromas provoke a strong sensation of ripe and roasted black fruit, figs, and purple flowers. The strong personality and luscious traits of the vino leap out of the bulb as it unfurls to further seduce. With each swig of the earth driven wine, one can begin to peak a curiosity on site, aspect, and climate.

Ohhh, so you're crushing on high acid Sauvignon Blanc these days. Are you vibing on tart citrus, green apple and some underripe stone fruit with each pucker? You want the aromatics of fresh cut grass, crushed rock, or chalky minerality to rock your receptors. A horizontal flight will offer a truly unique perspective. Select different wine regions. All time faves are the lovely gems of Sancerre, Pouilly Fume, and Sonoma. Add a few from the southern hemisphere to get a glimpse on the who, why and wow swirling in the glass. You will naturally begin to hunt for the clues or markers that can be achieved in each country. There is no limit to the themes that can blow you away.
